Look, I’ve been through some stuff right? Big league stuff that would make lesser mortals crumble. I say that with no ego, it’s fact.
The thing I learned, the real important lesson.
Nobody will ever care about you the way you can. Friends provide support, lovers provide validation and comfort.
But you’re the one driving the car.
To put it another way, in the words of Lord Nelson (who most Americans won’t know)
“Forget the maneuvers, go straight at them”
Life is going to keep moving forward, learn to enjoy the ride, and when it hurts the most, thats when you need to pay attention the most. That’s when you’ll learn them most about yourself, and those you value.
I had to go half insane to learn this.
And always remember there’s more than one type of love in the world.
